Euro 2016: Portugal crowned champions after Cristiano Ronaldo goes off injured

Portugal have won the European championships in France. Cristiano Ronaldo’s side defeated hosts France 1-0 in the final to win the tournament in a spectacular fashion.

Ronaldo was forced-out of the game after he signaled to be substituted mid-way through the first half, but there was no separating these two sides as it remained goalless after 90 minutes.

The epic final proceeded into extra-time but substitute Eder got the all-important goal after 109 minutes to ensure the Selecao win the tournament.
