American Presidential nominee, Donald Trump has announced that Nigerian-American woman, Omarosa Manigault, is now the director of the African-American Outreach for his presidential campaign.

Omarosa, known as 'the villain' on the reality show, 'The Apprentice', who was announced as the director of African-American outreach for the Trump campaign, spoke to newsmen after the announcement and said; “I’m happy to take up that cause for Donald Trump,” adding that her new role was “an extension” of the work she had been doing at the National Diversity Coalition for Trump.

“I am the director of African-American outreach for Donald Trump. I am proud to serve in that role.

“It is a very difficult time for our country, but the good thing I know is that I know Donald Trump at his heart … and I know what he can do in that role.” When asked about polls that show Trump has zero percent support from African Americans in Ohio (where she is from) and Pennsylvania, Manigault said she was confused about who had been polled because “I just spent an amazing weekend with African Americans for Trump, more than 300 of them."

“My reality is I’m surrounded by African Americans who want to see Trump as the next president. Trump is focused on improving the conditions of African Americans in this country. Unemployment in African-American community is at an all time high,” she said.

Donald Trump reportedly hired Omarosa Manigault to help him win Black votes as recent polls have shown that he had 0% approval among black voters in key states such as Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The 42-year-old reality TV star, made a name for herself as a ‘TV villain’ in the first season of Trump’s 'The Apprentice' and also had a lot of negative press during that period as a result of her intensity and controversial actions.

According to a 2004 Peoplemagazine article, Omarosa Manigault was ‘banished’ from four political jobs in only two years with the Clinton administration.

At her last job, she was reportedly asked to leave almost immediately because she had been so disruptive.
