Actress murdered in Atlanta just a day before before her 36th birthday

Jokisha Brown, was shot and killed at an Atlanta strip mall while sitting in her black Mercedes SUV car on Friday July 1st just a day before turning 36. The mother of a teenage son was waiting to get her make-up done when a gunman walked up to her car and shot her dead through the passenger seat.
Jokisha had been involved in a relationship which she recently walked away from..

“She went through a hard time with this breakup. She steadily voiced it, she feared for her life that something might happen to her.” one of her friends told

She had also once escaped a violent kidnapping attempt by jumping from a moving vehicle.  Her ex, Alfredo Capote is the chief suspect in her murder but he hasn't been named as a suspect as nothing has linked him to the killing yet. But police have been investigating him since April for the rape and kidnapping of Jokisha...
