According to a tweet posted on the official page of the Nigerian Police
Force, the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, has
appointed Donald Awunah as the new Police Force Public Relations Officer
to replace Olabisi Kolawole who served from August 2015 to June, 2016.
Awunah who until his new assignment, was deputy commissioner of Police
in charge of Homicide Section of Force Criminal Investigation and
Intelligence Department (FCIID) Abuja.
He holds B.A degree in Philosophy from the University of Lagos and M.A
in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Benue State
University, Makurdi, and is a Fellow of Institute of Security Studies,
Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration, and Member,
Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

DCP Donald N. Awunah fsi, an alumnus of many distinguished academic
institutions, such as University of Ilorin, Ilorin (2014-2015),
Institute of Security Studies, Abuja (2014), Benue State University,
Makurdi (2009-2010, 1995-1996), Federal Polytechnic, Ida (1989-1990),
University of Lagos (1981-1984), School of Basic Studies, Ugbokolo

Police Contingent to the UN Peace Keeping Mission in East-Timor (UNMIT)
between (2008 - 2009) where he served as the UN Police Spokesperson.
