The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its nationwide indefinite strike which commenced on June 20.
President of the association, Dr Mohammad Askira, made the disclosure on
Saturday in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the
association’s National Executive Council meeting held on Friday 24.
He said that the strike was suspended to enable the federal government
implement the agreement reached with the association on or before July
14, adding that the doctors would resume work on July 27.
He said that the meeting also resolved to review the progress of
government intervention at the next NEC meeting of the association
scheduled for July 25 to 30 in Keffi for appropriation action.
